Supporting local students and helping people feel confident about their smiles were the two simple reasons Hometown Dental chose to sponsor Cleary University’s 2018 Signature Event. On May 3, 2018, at the Johnson Center, our team greeted guests, encouraged smiles, and ran the photo booth for an evening that celebrated the hard work of graduating students.
Why we partnered with Cleary University
We are a community practice in Howell and partnerships like this give us a chance to meet people where they are — at a celebration, among neighbors and business leaders. Cleary University’s Vehicle to a Better Future event brings together the business community and graduating seniors to raise funds that directly support student enrichment. Sponsoring the photo booth seemed like a natural way to help the evening feel lively and to promote the kind of confident smiles we help create every day.
What the event was about
The 2018 Vehicle to a Better Future Signature Event took place on Thursday, May 3, at the Johnson Center. Doors opened at 5 pm for an evening of entertainment, guest speakers, culinary highlights, and — as the name implies — some attention-grabbing vehicles. Proceeds from the event were directed to initiatives that impact the academic, financial, and social experience of Cleary University students.
“The Cleary University Vehicle to a Better Future event supports student enrichment initiatives and connects the business community to our graduating seniors. This opportunity provides a “vehicle” to bring your investment to life in helping shape the next generation of aspiring business leaders. Specifically, proceeds raised from this event directly impact the academic, financial, and social experience of Cleary University students. Our goal is to BUILD GREAT and establish dynamic pathways to achieve student success.”
Our photo booth role
Being the official photo booth sponsor meant more than supplying props and a camera. It meant helping create a space where students, families, faculty, and business leaders could relax, celebrate, and remember the night. We set up a friendly station near the event flow where people could stop for a quick portrait or a silly group shot.

- Connections – guests used the booth as a meeting spot, which led to conversations among community members and local business leaders.

A night to remember
The Johnson Center’s mix of speakers, cuisine, and display cars made for an engaging program. We were grateful to be part of a night that clearly mattered to the students and to the Cleary community.
