There’s always something fun happening at Hometown Dental! We are actively involved in our community, and are committed to the well-being of our community members beyond the high quality dental care we provide. Hometown Dental is proud to have been voted People’s Choice Howell-Area Best Dental Practice Winner every year since 2010. We are grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others through our dental treatments and charitable events. We never get tired of giving people reasons to smile!
LIVINGSTON COUNTY VETERANS MEMORIAL
Our team raised over $45,000 to renovate the Livingston County Veterans Memorial. Donations were used to expand and beautify the Veterans Memorial. We appreciate our veterans and are proud to honor their service. We encourage you to stop by and see the Veterans Memorial in front of the Howell Courthouse.
Hometown Dental strives to support local schools and their programs and give back in any way we can. We have been visiting local schools, interacting with our community, and providing high school education internships for over 30 years! Our team truly enjoys visiting the children of our community schools and preschools to educate kids about oral health. The students always enjoy this time with us while learning about a visit to the dentist.
Every year on the day after Halloween, Hometown Dental pays $1.00 per pound for unopened Halloween candy. We also collect donations and letters of gratitude. All items, along with Hometown Dental toothbrushes, are put into care packages and sent to our troops overseas for the holidays by the Operation Gratitude Organization.
We have enjoyed traveling throughout the world to various countries including, but not limited to, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala, to provide dental care to those who need it most. Within the villages we served, most had never seen a dentist. When word got out we were there, over 200 people showed up to our clinic each day. Some of the people we treated had traveled up to 30 miles on foot to receive our care! Dental disease, when left untreated, takes many lives in these unserved areas. It was an honor and privilege to treat these amazing people.
The Hometown Dental team is proud to work with LACASA, Love Inc., Catholic Social Services, LESA, the Howell DDA, Howell Recreation, and Livingston County Veterans. Hometown Dental has sponsored Red Cross Blood drives, Adopt-A-Family, can drives, socks for foster kids, and put on our very own Candy Buy Back and Halloween parties for our communities. The Kellogg family sponsors Camp Kellogg, a Boy Scout camp for underprivileged youths in Kalkaska, Michigan, as well. Our giving goal at a team at Hometown Dental is 1 million in 10 years. So far, we have given $235,000 to our community.
